Lisa Potts, DNP, MSN, RN
Dr. Lisa Potts has been an RN for the past 30+ years. The majority of Dr. Potts' clinical experience has been in the area of critical care and emergency services. Over the last 6 years, Dr. Potts has been working in leadership roles and currently works at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System as the Associate Chief Nursing Officer, Nursing Operations & Nursing Systems. The department is charged with creating greater efficiency around nursing operations as well as identifying how technology and systems can improve workflow and efficiency for nursing. Specific departments overseen by Dr. Potts include: Patient placement, transfer center, supplemental staffing team, house supervisors, nurse navigators, staffing coordinators and house-wide staffing. Dr. Potts has been teaching in the online RN-BSN program for several years and enjoys the interactions, learning and communication that occurs with nurses in so many different stages of their careers.
