Application and Fee
You’ll need to complete a UIC application and pay a $60 non-refundable fee at the time of application. The fee must be paid via credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express are all accepted).
Applications are accepted at any time during the year. Cohorts for the RN to BSN online degree completion program start in January, June, and August of each year. However, all required materials must be received by the dates listed below.

To be accepted to our RN to BSN program, you must have an overall transferable GPA of 2.75, as well as a natural science transferable GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Individuals with a current RN license issued in the U.S. or who are waiting to sit for the NCLEX exam may apply for the program. Proof of passing NCLEX must be provided before the start of the program’s second course.

Students must complete the following requirements (57 transferable credit hours) prior to or after enrollment in the RN to BSN online degree completion program.

Official transcripts are required from all prior colleges and universities attended, including prior attendance at any campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago. Transcripts are considered official if they meet one of the following criteria:

- The transcripts are certified as true copies by an official of the educational institution, an embassy official or an appropriate government official if they are sent by the issuing institution and received by UIC in a sealed, unopened envelope.

In order to be awarded the bachelor’s degree, you must complete an upper division liberal arts course prior to finishing the RN-BSN degree completion program. This course must transfer to UIC as a 200-level course or above and is typically satisfied by either the Microbiology or Life Span Human Growth and Development course.
